{"id":89,"date":"2024-02-21T10:42:44","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T09:42:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cepsrl.it\/?p=89"},"modified":"2026-02-02T11:32:32","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T10:32:32","slug":"certificazione-esg-per-cep-una-scelta-responsabile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cepsrl.it\/en\/certificazione-esg-per-cep-una-scelta-responsabile\/","title":{"rendered":"ESG Certification for CEP: A Responsible Choice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are pleased to announce that CEP has obtained ESG certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESG is an approach to business management that focuses on three main factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Environmental (E)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Social (S)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Governance (G)<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Care for the environment in terms of CO2 emissions, the protection of resources within the workplace and the community, ethical conduct and the utmost transparency in conducting one\u2019s business are just some examples of what today distinguishes companies that intend to pursue a path oriented toward sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applying the binding principles of sustainability and those aimed at the continuous improvement of ESG performance is a commitment that CEP intends to pursue in order to contribute not only to the well-being of its workers but also to the collective and social good, with full transparency and the utmost integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us look in detail at what the three aspects involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Environmental (E)<\/strong>:<\/span> This aspect concerns a company\u2019s environmental impact. It involves measuring and managing business practices in relation to the environment. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Social (S):<\/strong> <\/span>This aspect refers to social issues and the company\u2019s impact on society. It includes managing employee relations, diversity and inclusion, health and safety at work, as well as community involvement and corporate social responsibility.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Governance (G):<\/strong> <\/span>Governance concerns the company\u2019s organizational and decision-making structure. This includes the composition of the board of directors, transparency in financial reporting, business ethics and the management of conflicts of interest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Why does CEP adopt the ESG approach?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us, adopting the ESG approach is essential, as it enables us to contribute to improving the long-term sustainability of our company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing global challenges, such as climate change, social responsibility and good governance, is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This commitment increases the trust of all stakeholders, reduces reputational risks and opens up new business opportunities for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below we will look at the reasons that led us to seek this certification, what it means to us and what benefits it brings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESG certification is the recognition that CEP adheres to environmental, social and governance standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This demonstrates our commitment to responsible company management and our desire to contribute positively to the environment and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"color: #00965e;\">Why did we get certified?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We embarked on the path toward ESG certification because we firmly believe in the importance of sustainable management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to be an example of corporate responsibility for our employees, customers and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESG certification is an important step in our corporate mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will continue to work hard to maintain and improve our ESG standards and contribute positively to the sustainable future of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>But is it possible to measure a company\u2019s sustainability? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer is absolutely yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Measuring sustainability and assessing ESG compliance often involve the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to each of the three dimensions. It is a measurement and assessment system based on qualitative and quantitative indicators related to sustainability and social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are rating agencies, financial institutions and specialized organizations that develop tools and methodologies to assess companies\u2019 ESG performance. These tools help us make informed decisions about companies\u2019 sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #00965e;\"><strong>Sustainability is part of our present and our future!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2015, a global initiative for sustainable development was launched through the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
